SOLD!
1966 Ford Mustang Notchback / 289
$14,000 Appraised.

I've owned this beautiful machine since 1999 and hate to part with her, but we are consolidating households, downsizing, and moving on to other things. I've had her professionally appraised (7/11/2009) by Jeff Locke, this area's most respected appraiser and the President/CEO of International Vehicle Appraisers Network. In Mr. Locke's expert opinion, this vehicle is worth $14,000.

Mr. Locke emailed me a Microsoft Word version of the appraisal, which you may read here. I edited my address from the document for internet security reasons, but I will be happy to show any prospective buyer the signed, original appraisal that Mr. Lock sent me in the mail.

Those who wish to obtain financing will be pleased to know Mr. Locke's appraisal is considered valid to any financial institution. Currently these institutions will finance for about 80% of appraised value (i.e. requiring the buyer to pay down about 20%).

This fine automobile has had three owners. The previous owner did a complete body/mechanical restoration and partial interior restoration on her in 1991. He used the original chassis (cleaned and stripped) and engine and assembled perfect, straight, completely rust-free body panels from new and used sources. He then had the body prepped and painted in Crystal Blue Firemist (a beautiful 1976-1978 Cadillac color) by a very well reputed custom body shop. The automobile has been 100% garaged and driven only sparingly in good weather since that time, both by him and by me. She has not been a trailered show car, but neither has she been a daily driver. The body is still completely rust-free, and the paint is in excellent condition, aside from a small chip or two. The interior is largely original and will likely be the new owner's next restoration project; however, it is still in very good condition.
