I took this picture in my early teens in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato Mexico. At the time, I seemed to have a penchant for mundane subject matter and took interest in this iron grate, which I think I recall was on the local jail. However, I occasionally managed to get a very good shot despite myself. As I was metering this shot, this rather inebriated gentleman, amused at the gringo kid with the camera, insisted I take his picture, and he wouldn't go away until I did. So I took it. It was a good shot -- one of my favorites! (Pentax Spotmatic F, Takumar 55 mm f/1.8 lens, Plus-X film.) Click here for ordering information. Links:
